Life & Light in the Western Region

The Life and Light in the Western Region Photo Competition is in its 18th year.

Creating a window into the lives of everyday people in the Western Region of NSW, this competition has allowed many entrants an opportunity to share their reality with the world through the lens of their cameras.

This year the photo competition has been inspired by the Broken Hill Rural Women’s Gathering, and highlights all of the characteristics that make the Western Region so unique.

As part of this collaboration the photo competition is open to registered participants of the gathering to enter their photos into a special category,

'Rocks, Rust, Stars and Dust'.

We want to give all rural women a chance to tell their story, to offer a glimpse into life through their eyes and to show what it is that makes them unique using the theme of the gathering to inspire photo entries.

The White Cliffs branch of the CWA has sponsored the prize money as follows:

First Prize - $250

Second Prize - $150

The winner's photos will also be on display at the Awards Night on Friday 28th October along with the winners from the other categories.

Entries close Friday 30th September
