Mariette Curcuruto

Mariette Curcuruto was born in Brisbane, Queensland and for the first 29 years of her life, had travelled no further west than Toowoomba. Pursuing her life's interest, Mariette has been a practising solicitor for almost 20 years.

Love intervened in her very-late 20s, and after marrying Geoff Dunlevy, Mariette moved first to Moree and later to Broken Hill, and has lived in and practised law in Country NSW for approximately 15 years. The move to Broken Hill opened unexpected doors for Mariette, allowing her to practice law in an area that fast became her passion, assisting women and children leaving violent relationships.

Mariette and Geoff have 2 children, Gianna (10) and Geoffrey (7). Having developed a serious health issue, Mariette is currently on work hiatus, enjoying life in Broken Hill and looking after two active children.

Mariette's major concern at the moment is ensuring that she does not do anything silly enough to land her on the front page of the Barrier Daily Truth under the headline "Magistrate's Wife in Mad Scandal".

the Janes are brilliant, inspirational, funny, emotional, flawless, fabulous ...

They burst onto the Australian Folk scene in the early 1990's, arising from a desire to explore and showcase pure Bluegrass harmonies and any other vocal style that took their fancy!

Quirky, warm and funny there is a joyous interplay between the Janes on stage that is not scripted and very inclusive. People leave their shows feeling uplifted, entertained, inspired and like they have been held in a very warm embrace.
